Mrs. Candellyn Tyner is the founder and Artistic Director of Pacific Academy of Dance. She discovered her love for teaching in 1995 when she began working with children at various studios in and around Los Angeles. She also served as the program director for the Rustic Canyon Performing Arts Program. While Candellyn pursued her dance career in Los Angeles and New York, she had the opportunity to work with some of the best choreographers today. In 1997 she was granted a scholarship to the dance program at the California Institute of the Arts, where she earned a BFA in Dance, Dance Education, and Choreography in 2000. Being a great teacher takes the willingness to learn your self. Candellyn believes teachers learn as much from their students as the students learn from them. She happily discovers something new from her students everyday. As she has found in her own life, dance is something you will have forever!!

Shannon Evans

After graduating from Southern Oregon University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance, Shannon participated in children's musical theater, and found her niche teaching kids. Shannon is happy to join the ranks at Pacific Academy of Dance, with classes in Kindermusik. Her love of music was nurtured as a child; she remembers her mom wrote down the first song she, herself ever composed. Kindermusik gives children a foundation to learn about musicality at very young, formative ages. Children and parents alike connect though movement, song and instrument discovery. Shannon takes pride in helping children find their own unique, individual forms of expression, their own 'voice' in creative arts.
